MORTON defender Kirk Broadfoot claims that he and his Cappielow teammates are being disrespected by the opposition they play – but are happy to keep proving their doubters wrong.
The experienced defender says it was overlooked that Ton dominated much of the game last weekend against Raith Rovers.
He told the Tele: “Last time out, in the main, we played really well and I thought we controlled it.
“I don’t think teams give us enough credit for how we play.
"They just say we’re big, strong and physical but if you look at the game on Saturday, we actually passed the ball through the thirds.
“The first goal we lost was poor, it was a slack from everyone.
"The second goal was never a penalty and the third goal was a mistake from myself.
"I held my hands up because I should’ve just cleared the ball and not tried to flick it round the Raith player.
“From there I still thought that we were comfortable and the least we deserved was a draw away from home.
"But we’ve been flying all week in training, so we’re going into the cup game against Rangers this weekend looking well.”
