ON Saturday as I walked towards Tannadice Park a young Dundee United boy and his dad asked for my comments for the boy’s online Vlog ahead of the United v Morton match.
During it I suggested the game would end 1-1.
To be honest that was more the heart ruling the head as I was certainly not that confident that we would achieve such a result as United were on fire and we were struggling in the league.
For the boys to get the draw was certainly commendable.
I personally thought we deserved it even though we endured a few nervous moments towards the end of the game.
Hopefully as we start to see some of our injured players return and also finally secure a natural right back we might just start to see the real Morton team on the park.
I think it’s fair to say our best starting eleven would give any team in the Championship a run for their money but at the moment we still look a little short up front without Quitongo and Oakley.
Listening to Dougie Imrie would suggest one or both of these players should be back soon and perhaps that just might allow us to build on Saturday’s positive result and lead to us climbing the table.
