MY lifetime of following Morton has thrown up many challenging times over the years and at this moment in time the results have certainly not made for an easy life as a Morton supporter.

On Saturday the small number of us who managed to get out of Inverclyde to attend the Queen's Park game at Hampden encountered a completely different challenge in simply making it to the game.

Personally I can’t remember ever having as much difficulty in getting to a Morton game than myself and my friend Kenni endured on Saturday.

Trying to get through Gourock was extremely difficult whilst the gridlock that was Greenock was a major challenge.

The back roads of Kilmacolm and Bridge of Weir proved quite dangerous. Many people will think enduring those challenges was surely not worth it to watch a nil nil draw but personally I think (hope) that the draw and clean sheet might prove pivotal in our battle to get off the foot of the Championship.

We live in hope that this small step leads to bigger and better things ahead otherwise a long hard season lies ahead along with an extremely challenging battle.
