THE Championship league table after this weekend’s results does not paint a pretty picture for us of a Morton persuasion.
Even this early in the season next week’s trip to Ayr already looks like a 'must-win' fixture.
We certainly don’t want to be left isolated at the bottom of the table whilst we await the injury situation clearing up, which once it happens would surely see an upturn in our results?
Unfortunately we have to deal with the hand we have been given so until the injuries fully clear we urgently need the current team to obtain some positive results.
I would have hoped we could have built on the last two decent results last Saturday at home to Inverness but unfortunately even though we had a beautiful day in Greenock the adverse weather throughout parts of Scotland led to our game being called off.
And to think that only a couple of weeks ago Inverclyde was almost completely cut off from the rest of Scotland and yet we were made to travel to fulfil our fixture!
