THEY said we will be okay when our injuries clear up.

They said we are in a false position in the league.

They said they want Cappielow to be a fortress and they said we will be alright in the league!

Whoever 'they' are might just have to have a reality check and realise we are bottom of the league for a reason and at this moment in time just don’t look like getting out of trouble.

I personally would class myself as one of 'they' as I had bought into the fact that a fully fit squad is good enough to compete at the top end of the Championship.

Now, I’m not so sure.

I feel last week’s win down at Ayr seems to have been a false dawn as two consecutive home defeats in a week would suggest we are back to square one.

The first half performances in those two games were simply unacceptable and we cannot continue to give teams a two goal start.

On Friday night I thought the introduction of Bearne and Boyd, pictured,  gave us an energy we were missing in the first half and my own personal opinion is that they both should start at Firhill on Saturday.

I also pray for the return of O’Connor and Quitongo from injury as soon as possible to hopefully confirm 'they' might just be right in the end.

Finally I thought the booing of Kirk Broadfoot on Friday was embarrassing and whilst he has been struggling for form and took offence to personal criticism, no Morton player should be booed in my opinion from any Morton supporter.
