PICTURE the scene: just over a week ago we travelled to Arbroath firmly rooted to the bottom of the Championship table and worryingly staring relegation in the face as we struggled to put a run of victories together.

Fast forward some eight days or so and after three magnificent wins we find ourselves only four points from the promotion play-offs!

I think it’s fair to say that many Morton supporters myself included have been critical of the players and management team at times, as the early season form was not pretty and we simply couldn’t buy any wins.

To be honest it was clear early in the season we couldn’t cope with the run of injuries we encountered but still many of us still found time to complain.

The squad is certainly coming together even though we still have a few key players out injured and the players and management team should be applauded for the week they have just given us.

On Saturday, playing with ten men for the entire second half, it made me immensely proud of the team as they gave their everything to get the result that takes us into a respectful position in the league.

I’m sure there will be some setbacks during the rest of the season but let's enjoy the current run of results and performances in the hope that we witness many more as the season progresses.
