GOUROCK football star Amy Muir has extended her contract with Scottish champions Glasgow City - with manager Leanne Ross hailing her 'one of the best Scotland has to offer'.
The 23-year-old full back joined the club from Hibs in 2022 and has so far made 65 appearances in all competitions.
She played a ‘crucial role’ in City’s 2022/2023 Scottish Women’s Premier League title win – which was clinched in dramatic fashion on the final day of the season.
The new deal will see Muir remain at the side until the summer of 2026.
The Scotland international said: “I’m delighted to be continuing my stay at this club.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far and feel I have more to give as a player on and off the pitch to continue contributing to the success of the team.”

Head coach Ross added: “It comes as welcome news to everyone at the club that Amy has reached an agreement to extend her contract at Glasgow City.
"Since her arrival in 2022, Amy has worked hard on and off the pitch to develop every aspect of her game, and in doing so has become one of our most consistent and influential performers.
“Amy is a fantastic professional and, in my opinion, one of the best attacking full backs Scotland has to offer.
"She leads by example in the way she trains, plays and conducts herself in football and everyday life.
"It is for those reasons I am delighted to have the opportunity to continue working together and look forward to supporting Amy in her development and achievement of further success in the orange and black of Glasgow City.”
Glasgow City currently sit third in the SWPL on 47 points, behind Celtic on 49 and Rangers on 55.
They will continue their recent good form when they travel to Montrose on Sunday afternoon.
