MORTON'S fan ownership group has announced a significant cash injection into the club's coffers for the upcoming season - with a promise of more to come.
Morton Club Together (MCT), the community organisation that has grown since its formation in 2019 to become the majority stakeholder of the football club, has made an additional £10,000 contribution towards the men's first team player budget for the 2024/25 campaign.
MCT members already provide monthly offerings of £11k to the overall club budget - and a further £5k has now been pledged for the upgrade of the players' gym.
In an update this week, MCT also revealed that it is set to increase its monthly contribution from the start of the new season, with 'more exciting plans in the pipeline for this summer'.
