MORTON boss Dougie Imrie has told of his delight after snapping up a new striker who helped his current club pull off a stunning FA Cup shock this season.
The Cappielow boss is thrilled after securing Maidstone United Lamar Reynolds forward on a pre-contract agreement.
The 28-year-old has agreed to a one-year deal with the Ton and will officially join the club shortly on the expiration of his contract at United.
Reynolds memorably scored one of the goals as his team knocked Ipswich, who have since promoted to the Premier League, out of the cup in a massive surprise back in January.
His strike won the FA Cup goal of the round.
Born in Jamaica but moving to England at a young age, the player began his career at Barking and has since built up a wealth of experience south of the border, including spells with Newport County and Leyton Orient.
Imrie said: “I am delighted to welcome Lamar to Cappielow.
"He is an exciting player who brings a different style to the team with great pace and technical ability.
"Lamar will be a great addition to the frontline, he’s a player that can make a difference across a number of attacking roles and I look forward to welcoming him to the club.”
