SCOTLAND manager Steve Clarke has revealed how Greenock's Lewis Morgan reacted to a late call up to his provisional Euro 2024 squad.
Morgan joined the side on Thursday ahead of the final warm-up game against Finland tonight.
His inclusion follows the departure of forwards Lyndon Dykes and Ben Doak due to injury, with Bristol City striker Tommy Conway also being brought in earlier this week.
Speaking at a press conference, Clarke told how performance director Graeme Jones phoned Morgan to offer him the spot.
Clarke said: "Graeme started to explain the situation and Lewis just said, ‘I’ll stop you there, I’m coming’.
"That reaction tells you how pleased he is to be in the squad.
"I need to thank his club New York Red Bulls for their co-operation because obviously it was a very last minute call up.
"They’re in season. They could’ve made it probably a little bit more difficult for us at that time."

Clarke said it was 'pretty clear' he would have to strengthen his attacking options after losing Dykes and Doak.
He added: "It's disappointing to lose the players we've lost, but I think in Tommy Conway and Lewis Morgan we've got two good additions to the squad.
"Lewis has been in my squads when he was here with Celtic and St Mirren.
"I know the player, I know the character, I know the person - which is always a help.
"You keep an eye on and you look at what’s your best option, what’s your next best option.
"Lewis and Tommy were the obvious candidates."
