MORTON right back Cammy Ballantyne has vowed that he and his teammates will go into tonight's game against Brechin City looking to make amends for Saturday's horror start against East Fife.

Ton sit bottom of their Premier Sports Cup Group and will look to get going following their 3-0 defeat to their League Two opposition last time around, in the hope of keeping any slim hopes of qualification to the knockout stages alive.

And Ballantyne says there's no point dwelling on the game now that the dust has settled, as he looks to head into the game with his best foot forward in the hope of picking up three points against the Highland League outfit.

But he admitted that the importance of making the most of their opportunities was the difference after his side were on the wrong end of those defining moments last time around.

He told the Tele: "Goals change games. They took their chances whilst we didn't.

"We didn't really create too much. We had plenty of possession without really hurting East Fife. But goals do change games and we saw that on Saturday.

"Moving into tonight, we just need to forget about it, you can't change anything now.

"We need to reset and go into tonight's game against Brechin with the right attitude, looking to make things right.

"The boys were hurting after the game, but it's done. We can't do anything about it now. We just need to look to put things right on Tuesday."
