MORTON new boy Jay Emmanual-Thomas is ready to be unleashed against Partick and he revealed that he’s champing at the bit to get involved and do his bit to win at all costs.
JET was forced to watch on from the sidelines after the club were unable to get clearance granted that would’ve seen him make his bow against Alloa Athletic – but he’s over that disappointment now as he looks to fit into Dougie Imrie’s new style of play.
He says though, targets have gone out the window as he looks to put his body on the line to help the club achieve success.
He told the Tele: “It was good to get a chance to watch the boys last week and to be fair, I’d seen them in training as well obviously.
“I know that the gaffer wants to train and play in the same way. During the week in training it was all about being on the ball and you could see that the boys were doing that against Alloa.
“I’m here to help the team as much as I can. If that means creating and scoring goals as much as I can then so be it. There will obviously be stages later in the game where the manager might have to change it.
“I’m not a player who’s demanding to stay on the pitch the whole game – if we’re winning and he needs some runners on then that’s fair.
“If I’ve got to go in and play centre half because we’re winning and the other team’s launching balls into the box, I’ll be there to go and head them away.
"It’s not an issue to see the game out. I’m here to win.”
