MORTON defender Morgan Boyes says that the goals will come – despite the overriding feeling of disappointment that his side failed to pick up all three points against Hamilton.
Ton remain without a win in the league after two games but they are yet to taste defeat or concede a goal after keeping consecutive clean sheets against Partick and Hamilton.
But Boyes, who says that the chances will start to get converted, says it’s clear to see what Imrie’s side are trying to do as their first half display showed on Saturday.
He told the Tele: “It feels like two points dropped as opposed to one point gained because of the chances we had to kill the game off.
“It’s a good clean sheet at the end of day but I’ve no doubt that the chances we’re creating will turn into goals sooner rather than later.
“All it’s going to take is for one to go in and then everyone will get that confidence and they’ll start to follow on from there.
“I think that you can see across both games, what we’re trying to do, especially in that first half today.
“There was five or six really good opportunities that we should’ve been putting away. The game could’ve been done inside the first twenty minutes.
“So from the outside looking in you can see what we’re trying to do, how we’re trying to play and how good the style is.”
