MORTON midfielder Alexander King says a win against Cowdenbeath was important to try and get his side's disappointing defeat to Falkirk out of their minds - but he wants to build momentum with a win against Queen's Park.

King says that his side go into every game with the same mentality after taking the first steps in making amends for Ton's disappointing collapse against Falkirk a fortnight ago with a win against Cowdenbeath.

But he challenged his teammates to continue building on the character shown to bounce back and win in the SPFL Trust Trophy.

And he says that with no clear favourite to win the league this season, Ton will head into every game looking to get maximum points, with this weekend's tie against Queen's Park being no different.

King told the Tele: "I do think that it was important to get that win at the weekend, not only to progress in the cup but to get over that Falkirk defeat in a way.

"It was a sore one going from 2-0 up to then somehow end up 3-2 down. But we've shown that we can bounce back by beating Cowdenbeath, and hopefully we can continue to take that into the Queen's Park game this weekend.

"We go into every game with the same mentality, we go out to try and win. I don't think that there's a team in the league that's any better than another.

"Everyone's on a level par so it's about approaching each game in the same way and looking to take your game to the opposition.

"We'll now try and take some momentum that we picked up in the win against Cowdenbeath and go into the Queen's Park game looking to build up a head of steam."
