MORTON boss Dougie Imrie says he's not sweating just yet as he looks to finally break his Championship duck this weekend at the fifth attempt against Queen's Park.

Ton head to the south side of Glasgow looking to pick up their first win of the league season, having drawn three and lost one of their opening four games.

The Cappielow supremo says he isn't getting too worried after seeing his side create plenty of chances in those games.

But Imrie iskeen to challenge his players to begin to find their ruthless streak in front of goal as they look to make their chances count.

"We really should be going into the game undefeated," said the Ton chief.

"But things outwith our control have hampered that.

"With no disrespect to Queen's Park, we want to go and get three points. It's a game where we believe we can go and do well, so it's up to us to go and take advantage of that.

"I'm quite happy with the start of the league season. If you were to have said that we'd gone away to Partick and Livingston and had come away with a point from both of them, there won't be many teams who do that.

"I'd be really worried if we weren't creating chances, but that's not the case. We're making a lot of chances in every game and not taking the opportunities.

"We're not the only team who are guilty of that, I think everyone in the division is in the same boat, bar maybe Ayr and Falkirk.

"We've got a good record defensively, though, which gives us a good foundation to build from. I believe that was our third or fourth clean sheet of the season already.

"The defence are doing their jobs, it's just now up to the players to start converting the chances that they're creating.

"You're always disappointed to lose league games and we know we should've beaten Hamilton and in the Falkirk game, decisions went against us that on another day we get."

Imrie's men head into today's game looking to build on last weekend's slender win over Cowdenbeath in the SPFL Trust Trophy.

And despite boasting an unbeaten record against Queen's Park, Imrie says his attitude towards the fixture won't change as he looks to get his side moving up the league.

He added: "We go into the Queen's Park game looking to win, but it'll be the same feeling within the opposition camp.

"We don't read into these kind of records too much, but we want to try and win every game we go into. Today is no different for us.

"We have analysed Queen's Park, and then come 3pm on Saturday, it's up to the players to go and take on what they've been asked to do to go and win the game.

"It'll be a good surface. The pitch will be wet, meaning we can spray the ball about, so hopefully we can get three points that would go about moving us up the table."
