MORTON WOMEN boss Gary Forbes wants to see his side turn draws into wins after coming back from behind to claim a point away to Stenhousemuir.

Ton led at Ochilview after going 1-0 up inside the first ten minutes thanks to Jennifer Caldwell to found the back of the net with a perfect spot kick.

But the game flipped on its head when Stenny fought back to go in front through Amy MacLarty's double strike.

Morton, though, piled on the pressure in the second half and secured a point courtesy of Katie Townsend's leveller.

And after seeing his side pick up two draws on the road, Forbes has challenged his players to start turning those performances into wins.

He told the Tele: "We went one-nil up quite early on, then we let Stenhousemuir back into the game.

"We were caught in possession twice, but the girls were doing what we are asking of them, playing out from the back.

"Then Stenny got themselves in front. However the second half was a different story, where we were mostly on top.

"We saw efforts cleared off the line before equalising through Katie Townsend inside the final ten minutes. We possibly could've even gone on to win the game.

"But it's probably a good point on the road. Picking up a point in this league is always a bonus.

"For us it's about turning those draws into wins now. We've picked up points in half of our league games so far, albeit two of those were draws.

"We've got Stirling Uni at home in ten days' time but we'll be looking to go and win."

He says his side have shown they've got the right resilience on more than one occasion this season.

He added: "That's something we've been working on, showing that we're competitive for a whole match and that we have that resilience.

"I think to come out in the second half and to put the performance in that we did is really pleasing.

"It shows that the players are buying in to what we're doing."
