FRIDAY night football is set to return to Cappielow after Morton's Championship clash against Ayr was chosen to be shown in front of the BBC television cameras.
Morton had been due to host Ayr United on Saturday, November 9, six weeks on from their controversial bout at Somerset Park just last weekend.
But now the date of the tie has been rearranged to take place on Friday, November 8, with a 7.45pm kick off.
The tie will be shown live on BBC Scotland as the broadcaster returns to Cappielow for the first of two annual broadcasts of league games.
The events of last weekend's game, which saw Jay Henderson's penalty give the Honest Men all three points, means there is likely to be a lot of attention on the clash.
Henderson's strike proved controversial as it appeared the former St Mirren man took a double touch whilst striking the ball, meaning the strike should've been ruled out and an in-direct free kick given to Ton.
However, this was missed by whistler Colin Steven and Morton fell to the home side in a 1-0 defeat.
