PORT GLASGOW Juniors boss Tam Jamieson wants to bring the noise to Parklea as his side look to progress to the South Challenge Cup fourth round in front of a bumper crowd.

The Undertakers are the only footballing show in town this weekend, with Morton playing last night at Hamilton Accies, whilst Celtic and Rangers are out of action due to the international break.

And Jamieson says he hopes that will mean some extra faces in attendance at Parklea as the Port play host to Kilsyth Athletic.

Though Kilsyth are a division above the Port, both teams are in cracking form, and Jamieson reckons that makes for a mouthwatering clash - which he hopes will lead to supporters coming back to Parklea on a more regular basis.

He told the Tele: "Hopefully we can get a few extra bodies down this weekend for what promises to be a proper cup tie.

"Kilsyth have been doing well themselves this season, in the division above us. I don't think they've lost in four or five games in the league, so they'll come here full of confidence.

"Going forward they're pretty good, and our strengths are defending from the front, so we're hoping that we can see a really entertaining game between the two sides.

"It'll be two teams looking to come out and win the game within the 90 minutes, and hopefully we can do enough to go and get into the next round.

"We've been really fortunate in the cups this season because we've been at home for all of our ties in various competitions.

"In the cups you want to progress as much and as far as you can.

"With all due respect to Kilsyth, they're not one of the bigger teams in the competition, and at Parklea we fancy ourselves.

"If we can get into the next round, by getting the better of them, it'd be nice to get another home tie, and you always hope you can get a big side and crowd down to make it a good day."
