MORTON boss Dougie Imrie says his side invited the pressure they found themselves under from Dunfermline on Saturday despite holding on for a 0-0 draw at East End Park.
The Ton boss was left disappointed with his side's second half performance in Fife as they held on to keep a third clean sheet in a row - though it wasn't for the want of trying as Dunfermline knocked on the door on more than one occasion.
It took some late stunning stops from Gary Woods to keep the Fifers at bay, and Imrie says that injuries hampered his options at the top end of the pitch.
He told the Tele: "I thought in the first half against Dunfermline we showed what we want to try and do.
"It was actually quite similar to the Hamilton game. First half we were quite good and then in the second half we weren't.
"When you don't pass the ball, all you do is invite pressure because all you're doing is giving it back to the opposition.
"But we had a lot of tired bodies out there against Dunfermline. Michael Garrity's coming back from injury, Filip Stuparevic is still getting up to speed, and we don't have the players that we want to change for those positions.
"It's difficult to get them off and put fresh legs on at the top of the pitch at that point.
"But it's a team game. We're still gelling, but we're pleased to pick up another clean sheet and another point ahead of another difficult away trip next weekend."
