MORTON assistant manager Andy Millen is back alongside Dougie Imrie in the Cappielow dugout tonight as his mystery suspension came to an end.
Imrie's trusted deputy had been absent from the touchline and his duties as a whole for the last three weeks after being placed under suspension by club chiefs during an investigation into alleged incidents that are said to have taken place during the club's Championship clash against Raith Rovers at the start of September.
Millen returned to join Imrie in overseeing the pre-match preparations ahead of tonight's game at home to Queen's Park.
The assistant missed key away trips Hamilton Accies and Dunfermline, leaving Imrie stretched to the absolute limit.
Speaking after Saturday's loss to Hamilton, Imrie revealed just how much of an impact that not having Millen alongside him was having on him and his squad.
He told the Tele: "The last few weeks haven't been easy at all. In fact they've been quite difficult.
"So we have to try and keep moving but it's not a great environment or situation to be involved in at the moment.
"It's been really difficult. You can't do everything on your own - it's impossible.
"But i've had to do it and just crack on. I've got a group of players here that I really enjoy working with.
"The last few weeks haven't been ideal, let's put it that way."
