GUTTED Morton star Cameron Blues has issued an apology to the Cappielow fans who travelled to Falkirk and watched their side be on the wrong end of a 6-0 thumping to Falkirk.

The former Bairns youth product was afforded his third start in a week against his former side - but was left gutted as John McGlynn's side ruthlessly picked them apart on an afternoon to forget at the Falkirk Stadium.

And he revealed that the dressing room was hurting after the game after being unable to build on what had been two decent performances prior to the trip east as a second half collapse killed his side yet again this season.

He told the Tele: "It's disappointing. It was a poor performance from ourselves and when you play against a good team - they'll punish you.

"It was really disappointing to be a part of. We lost poor goals at bad times and that kills you in games in this league. That's why it's disappointing.

"The boys are hurting. It's always tough coming away from home and conceding six but we're probably hurting more because the last two performances we feel like we've deserved more.

"Coming here we were trying to stay in the game and even take things to Falkirk at times. But it didn't pan out that way at all and we were punished for our mistakes.

"It's frustrating - on behalf of the squad we apologise to the fans who travelled in their numbers today. It was a shocking performance so we apologise.

"We appreciate the support we do get so we're hurting that we weren't able to get the result that we're looking for."
