MORTON Women will welcome Bonnyrigg Rose to Parklea next month after advancing to the third round of the Scottish Cup with victory over Cambusdoon.
Gary Forbes' side look to have turned a corner and have registered back-to-back wins for the first time in more than two years after finding the back of the net four times for the second consecutive Sunday.
The Parklea side brushed aside their Ayrshire visitors with a convincing display to set up a mouth-watering home tie in December against the SWF League One high fliers.
A dominant performance saw fan favourite Rachael McConnachie spearhead a Ton onslaught in the opening 20 minutes.
Ton's pressure would pay off when Emma Dolan rose highest to nod home an in swinging free-kick, putting her head where it hurts to get her side's noses in front inside 18-minutes.
McConnachie was pulling the strings at the top end of the park, combining well with Jenny Dougall, who was unfortunate not to score - before skipper Laura Darroch saw her follow-up blocked as Ton failed to build on their lead before the break.
Dougall and McConnachie would combine after the break to put some breathing space between the two sides.
McConnachie's forward pass would find Dougall with her back to goal inside her own half. Her turn and charging run would see her eliminate three defenders before being blocked, which allowed her teammate to charge on and find the bottom left corner.
Ton's threat from set pieces would continue and Dougall would get her goal inside the final half an hour; she reacted first to Darroch's wedged corner to meet the delivery at the front post and cushion a header home in off the bar.
And Dougall would round off the scoring, capping off a fine team move as Ton picked off their counterparts of two divisions below.
The number nine timed her run perfectly to get on the end of a Niamh Provan pass and slide the ball home into the bottom right corner and put the ice on a successful afternoon for Gary Forbes's side.
They'll now return their attentions to league duty and this weekend's clash against Forfar Farmington, where Morton are looking to reduce the gap between ninth and eighth to just a single point.
They'll face off against Bonnyrigg Rose on Sunday December 8.
