THE travel section of the Morton Supporters' Club are now taking names for the Scottish Cup game against Ayr United later this month.
Dougie Imrie's men will travel down the coast to Somerset Park on Saturday, November 30, hoping to grab a place in the hat for the fourth round, when the Premiership's big guns will enter the competition.
Memories are still fresh of Morton's run to the last eight of the 2023-24 tournament, when Imrie's side saw off Bo'ness United and Montrose before memorably knocking out Motherwell with a 2-1 win under the Cappielow floodlights.
Ton's run in last season's competition was eventually ended by a 1-0 defeat at home to Hearts in the quarter-finals in March, in front of a crowd of 7,143.
More recently, Morton and Ayr shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Cappielow earlier this month, though Ton's last trip to Somerset ended in a hugely controversial 1-0 defeat at the end of September, when the referee and his fellow match officials missed what appeared to be a clear double touch by Jay Henderson for the Honest Men's second-half penalty winner.
