MORTON midfielder Cameron Blues says his side's victory over Raith Rovers was huge in more ways than one as the Cappielow men ended a run of six games without a win at Stark's Park.
The versatile Morton midfielder was full of praise for his side's show of character as they withstood a barrage of second half pressure from the Kirkcaldy men.
And although he admits that luck was on he and his teammates' side, he hopes that the win can act as a platform to help his side start to rekindle their defensive prowess from the start of the season.
He told the Tele: "That was a huge win in more ways than one. Our previous fixtures had been tough and even in the games that we've got coming up - every game seems to be tougher and bigger.

"So for both the league table and for our confidence, it was a massive win against Raith.
"I feel like it's always tough at Stark's Park in the second half. They're always shooting into their fans and they always go for it.
"It was good to see it through, settle ourselves down and to get the winner. There might've been a bit of luck involved in there too, but you always need that bit of luck.
"Hopefully that's a sign that our luck can now change.
"We've found ourselves conceding from set pieces so hopefully we can eradicate that going forward and keep scoring goals up the other end of the pitch, like we managed three times on Saturday."
