MORTON defender Zak Delaney says that his side showed the true character by withstanding a Raith onslaught and coming away from Kirkcaldy with all three points.
The Irish full-back admits it would have been easy to let the Fife men run away with the game after surrendering a two-goal lead at Stark's Park last weekend - but instead he was amazed at his side's response to being pegged back by strikes from Dylan Easton and his own goal.
Now he hopes Ton can push on from their first away league victory and put a few consistent performances together as they look to push themselves up the Championship at a good time.
He told the Tele: "I think we've shown what we've got about us as a group in that win against Raith. To go from two-nil up to then be pegged back to two-two can be really difficult but we bounced back.
"Just to tap into it a bit more, I think it's easy when the chips are down to roll over a bit. But we showed great character to even start the game in the way that we did.
"We started the game really really well to get the two goals and Fil (Filip Stuparevic) could've even got his hat-trick at the end of the half.
"It was a mad game - a mad second half especially, but we're glad to have come away from it with all three points.
"Things are starting to come together now - we just want to be able to do that for more than 45-minutes now.
"When you go 2-0 up away from home you're maybe thinking about taking less risks - but we've shown that the performances are there. It's just about putting a few of those together consistently now."
