ALL eyes fall upon Ravenscraig this weekend as Greenock Juniors hope to finally do battle in the South Challenge Cup.

With all West Of Scotland League matches being postponed last weekend due to Storm Bert, Greenock and Newmain United are now scheduled to go head to head at Ravenscraig this weekend in the South Region Challenge Cup. Organisers hope that the tie will finally be played at the fifth time of asking.

Neither team have played any competitive matches since November 9, so both will looking forward to the game as they look to get their respective seasons up and running again.

Greenock has continued to train when possible and this week, in particular, they will have had two good sessions behind them in preparation for the match.

In terms of form, the Nock will look to pick up from where they left off after excellent wins over Threave Rovers, Ardeer Thistle and Glasgow Perthshire took them to second place in West Of Scotland Football League Division Three.

A continuation of that form should be good enough to take them through to the last 32 and that attractive match up with Hill of Beath Hawthorn.

Should Nock navigate their way through the two ties then a gargantuan clash with Lowland League side Gretna lies in wait in the quarter finals.

The squad availability is very much as you were from last weekend. Jamie Black, Barclay, Tai Beckley and Jack Graham are all fit and available, whilst Cameron McPhee is out for another month or so.

Darren Boyle is nearing recovery from a hamstring injury and remains to be seen whether he will be risked.

With no further interventions from the weather, we should finally see a game on Saturday with kick off scheduled for 2-00pm at Ravenscraig Stadium.

Greenock are sponsored by Saveheat, Keystore Cowal View, Safer Group, The Lighthouse Bar, McGills, ARC and Blairs.
